Take a road trip, see Flipp in concert and then on film. This one is for all the Flipp fans in St. Cloud. After all, bassist Freaky Useless is a St. Cloud native. If you don't mind taking a little road trip Friday, you, too, can go to the Twin Cities movie premiere party for "Terror Firmer," the long-awaited Horror flick that not only features some Flipp songs on its soundtrack but also includes a cameo appearance by the boys in the band. The party starts with a Flipp performance at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by movie showings at 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and midnight. The site: The Heights Theater, 3951 Central Ave. NE, Columbia Heights. In addition to the movie and music, the premiere party also includes giveaways, prizes, snack bar stuff and, of course, plenty of antics. "Terror Firmer" as a Troma film. The man behind it, Lloyd Kaufman, is the same man who brought audiences such legendary horror films as "The Toxic Avenger" and "Nuke 'Em High." Flipp's cameo apparently happens in a scene where a man is killed after having a very unfortunate incident involving a beer bong and an orifice. You can always count on Flipp for a little highbrow entertainment. Find out more on Flipp's web site at www.flippcentral.com. |
