BANNED IN MILWAUKEE? Local punk-glam outfit Flipp, found itself fighting the law in Milwaukee recently. Hitting the stage at Summerfest after cutting an album in Florida, Flipp found themselves in trouble with Johnny Law. Kii Arens (aka Chia Karaoke) e-mailed us that leader singer Brynn Arens caught the attention of authorities when he tossed some beers into the crowd -- a seemingly appropriate thing to do on a hot day in the beer capital of the U.S. of A. Trouble is, a few of those thirsty fans were underage. Topping it off, Mr. Karaoke soon lost his pants -- both pairs -- and the powers-that-be soon pulled the plug on the band. After a lecture on "proper rock 'n' roll etiquette," the band packed up and hit the road. Rumor has it that Flipp is forever banned from Milwaukee -- something that I.W. thinks will last as long as a cold beer on a hot summer day. |
