In ’96 they won MTV’s “Unsigned” band contest with their cover of The Who’s “My Generation”. Now they are the first band on Everclear’s Art Alexakis Popularity Recordings label. Fans of the Rolling Stones and The Who will recognize some of the riffs and the sound of Flipp. With the recent popularity of bands like The White Stripes and The Strokes be sure that Flipp will be gaining in popularity and radio play. It’s just straight up rock-n-roll so take it or leave it. I’m not really biting and I certainly don’t take MTV’s “knack” for finding good talent to heart. But maybe you will...
